Frequently Asked Questions
What is Permanent Makeup?
Permanent Makeup (PMU) is a cosmetic treatment that uses soft, ultra-fine pigment to enhance your natural features. It creates subtle, long-lasting definition in areas like the brows and lips, giving you a polished look without the need for daily makeup.
Unlike traditional tattoos, PMU is designed to look soft, natural and flattering as it heals.
It’s ideal for women who want to save time, simplify their routine and wake up ready with effortless, everyday definition.
Does Permanent Makeup hurt?
Most clients describe it as mild discomfort rather than pain. A topical numbing cream is used throughout to keep you comfortable.
How long does it last?
Brows typically last 1–2 years and lips 1-3 depending on your skin type, lifestyle and aftercare. A colour boost is recommended every 12–24 months.
Will my brows look very dark at first?
Immediately after your appointment, the colour will appear stronger. As the brows heal over 7–10 days, they soften by around 30–40%.
Who is this not suitable for?
PMU is not suitable if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, on certain medications or have specific medical conditions. You’ll receive a full consultation and medical questionnaire before booking is confirmed.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
Avoid alcohol, coffee and blood-thinning medication 24 hours before your appointment.
